A French contribution for our consideration
VNF (Voies navigables de France) has planned to use a specialized barge to pick up this massive concentration of filth, which arrived recently from the Paris region after the floods! The cost is estimated at nearly 150 000 € and the operation should take place next week. "It's an opportunity to intervene now because everything is concentrated in one place," says VNF.
Ironically, the mayor of this little settlement on the River Seine had commended the schoolchildren living here for having just cleaned up the banks of the Seine.
